About Mitch
Mitch’s racing career started at 8 years old. His first season saw him place second overall in the 8-13 category. Over the next few years he went on to win many championships both locally and internationally (Canada/USA). At 14 he was racing full size cars and at 16 was racing sprint cars. After high school, time was taken off for education. Mitch Is a Licensed automotive service technician, early stage pipefitter and currently working on his real estate license. Unable to shake his love and addiction for motorsports, he returned to the sport in 2016 winning the local and Northwest Continental Championships setting track records at every track along the way. 2017 saw him win the Pacific F2000 pro series setting more track records across the USA. 2018 he took another step up setting his sights set on a US national championship. During the main event he was leading after lap 1. Lap 2 saw him suffer a mechanical failure which the team was able to repair but it dropped him way back in last place. The next laps saw him set a track record and pass the entire field. With a comfortable lead and the race his to lose, his right front tire blew out in the high load “carousel” corner. With only 3 laps to go and no way to make it back to the pits this failure forced Mitch and the team to accept a DNF. 2019 Mitch took a step back from driving to coach Andrew Dobbie in his successful F2000 campaign.
